General Information About Río Celeste
The Río Celeste hike, located in Tenorio Volcano National Park, is a breathtaking experience in Costa Rica. This hike takes you along a trail of approximately 7 kilometers, where you can admire the famous Río Celeste Waterfall, the Blue Lagoon, the viewpoint overlooking Tenorio Volcano, and the point where the river takes on its characteristic turquoise color.
The hike typically lasts around 9 hours, starting at 7:30 AM, and includes transportation from your hotel, a bilingual guide, park entrance, snacks, mineral water, and lunch. There are also shorter hike options, approximately 3 hours long, where you can explore the rainforest and cross hanging bridges.
